Kathyrn G.
Private tutor in Charleston, SC
Education
I'm an English professor at the College of Charleston and have my MA in English Rhetoric and Composition. I received my BA from Auburn University in May 2012 in English Language and Literature.
Experience
I've taught English at the college level for over three years and have also taught professional writing in Washington, D.C. as a contractor for the Department of Homeland Security. I have also tutored writing in high school and worked as an editor for Auburn's literary magazine. I received scholarships and tested out of writing courses due to my writing score on the SAT and made a 5 out of 6 on the writing section of the GRE, also scoring above the 80th percentile in verbal reasoning. I want to be a tutor because I absolutely love to teach and write. To me, writing is an invaluable and flexible asset that can help my students attain their own goals and discover their own voice.
