Science and sci-fi nerd with a passion for understanding the intellectual, social, and cultural history of Science and Natural Philosophy from the middle ages to the modern day.
I have a real passion for reading, writing, and research and love helping others find their own interests and to develop these skills. History and the humanities are not dying fields- they are evolving and changing in very exciting ways. Regardless of your child's long term plans thinking, researching, and writing critically about history helps you establish skills that can benefit you in any field of study. History also teaches us to put ourselves into other people shoes and to understand cultures very different from our own, an invaluable skill in our transnational world.
